Country Manager: Cotton On Foundation (COF)
Department: Cotton On Foundation Uganda
Location: Lwengo, Rakai and Masaka Districts
Reports to: COF Project Operations Manager (based in Australia).
Number of Reports: 50
Duration: Permanent Dependent on successfully meeting months‘ probation period
The Cotton On Foundation (COF) is an International Development Organization that is passionately driven by our team to create sustainable change by empowering youth through quality education. The organisation started operations in Uganda in 2007 and currently operates in Southern Uganda in the districts of Rakai, Kyoiera. Lwenpo, and Masaka. Its projects address the root causes of problems that prevent children and young people from getting a quality education. Our model is based on four pillars: Inspiring Schools. Education, Pathways and Community Engagement. COF projects contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals iSDGs), and Goal 4 in particular. POSITION PURPOSE:

The position of Uganda Country Director will be to execute the goals and objectives of the Uganda
2020 Vision. The Uganda Country Director is responsible for managing and developing the NGO body and delivering upon our KPl‘s across the 4~piilars oi Education, infrastructure, Sustainability and Healthcare. You will build a team of professionals that focus across these 4~pillars at a country level and deliver upon achieving our Ugandan 2020 Vision. As the key representative of Cotton On Foundation, reporting and effective communication at all levels is integral. This is a dynamic role in line with the growth of the Foundation with a ‘hands on‘ approach to our key projects.
And is a role that will directly impact people in need, being truly responsible for ‘changing lives .

• deliver the strategic plan for our country projects; manage school builds and implement educational improvement plans.
• maintain accurate records, collect relevant data and distribute reports to my stakeholders‘
• contribute to the planning and design ol future COF protects.
• establish and maintain strong community partnerships: represent and advocate for COF within the education, Government and NGO sectors.
• supervise and contribute to the development and management of operational budgets
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE /BACKGROUND:
• Higher relevant university degree, in related area such as protect management
• Experience with NGO Management
• A good understanding of sustainable production and living
• Strong experience in strategic development and/or protect development
• Excellent communication skills/interpersonal skills
• Ability to liaise with all departments and management levels across Uganda and Australia
• Ability to react to varying time lines and meet set Deadlines
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
There will be in contact with key projects that are inhibited by intense poverty. You will he required to live and travel to outreach villages to work and interact with people of different cultures. You will be based in Masaka, Uganda.
REPORTING LINES AND FLOW OF INFORMATION
The Uganda Country Director will report directly to the COF Proiect Operations Manager (based in Australia) and other stakeholders as directed.
The Uganda Country Director will act as a counterpart to the Ugandan Pillar Managers and will act as the liaison and interface between the Australian and Ugandan stakeholders. The Uganda Country Director will be responsible for high standard reporting to the Uganda Project Manager.
