JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking for an innovative, creative and self-driven individual to fill the position of a Credit Manager in our Company. He/She will be required to manage all credit activities of the Company, for example He/She will be required to evaluate, authorize and recommend approval or denial of loans applications within his/her limit and refer loan applications outside his/her limits to the General Manager(GM). .

Credit Manager’s Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure that credit worthiness of loans applicants is thoroughly evaluated example by critically analyzing and comparing all documents presented by the loans applicants before approving or rejecting the loans applications.
• Interview the loan applicants to determine their financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans and also determine how much money/principal can be granted to the applicant putting collateral security and capacity of the borrower into consideration.
• Provide adequate information regarding our loans products to loans applicants such as; loan requirements, interest rates, loan periods, discount on early settlement, penalties, restrictions, installment payments, costs of loans, etc.
• Establish loan payment plan by discussing with the loans applicant on the mode of payment the borrower plans to use if granted loans and advice the borrower accordingly.
• Supervise credit officers to ensure that loans records are monitored, maintained and updated.
• Ensure that collateral securities are thoroughly examine and analyze before approving the loans.
• Assess customer needs, explore all options and introduce different loan products and credit options available as well as the terms surrounding those services.
• Should be able to handle customer complaints and take appropriate actions to resolve them and forward those above him/her to the General Manager (GM).
• Ensure that loan applicants get assisted by the credit officers to understand and fill the loan application forms correctly before forwarding them to him/her in a timely manner.
• Ensures that credit business is conducted in compliance with the company policy and Tier 4 Microfinance Institutions and Money Lenders Act 2016.
• Evaluate, authorize and recommend approval or denial of loans applications within his/her limit and refer loan application outside his limit to the General manager(GM). In case the loan application is rejected, he should inform the loan applicant the reasons for the rejections of his/her loans request.
• Come up with sound and creative credit policies, terms, procedures and standards.
• Prepare reports to send to borrowers whose account are delinquent, and forward irreconcilable account for collection action.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers who have delinquent loans and arrange for liquidation of delinquent collateral properties whose owners are non-committal.
• Interview, hire and train new employee in the credit department.
• Ensure that customer confidence is maintained by keeping credit information confidential and also ensuring that their collateral securities are in safe custody.
• Meeting with potential customers and investors to present company offerings and negotiate business deals.
• Conduct market research to analyze and identify potential loan markets and new business opportunities and develop referrals networks in order to locate prospects for loans.
• Design marketing strategies and plans to meet the company goals.
• Analyze and evaluate current offerings and come up with initiatives for removing or addition of new products or services, and provide insight into product development and competitive positioning.
• Research and analyse market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitors’ products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies.
• Design questionnaires and analyses customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products and services.
• Manage delinquent loans and bad debts by planning recovery, giving notifications to borrowers whose loans are Non-Performing, initiating foreclosure, write –off and restructuring of loan etc.
• Preside over meetings, write reports and take up any other duty as may be assigned.
