Boyi Loans, is an arm of BOYI & BOYI Limited, focusing on financial inclusion. The unit, operates under the Tier 4 Microfinance Institutions and Money Lenders Act 2016 and is regulated by the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority.

Over the period, the business has registered tremendous growth through introduction of a wide-range of innovative and beneficial financial products targeting its diverse clientele.

JOB SUMMARY
The Credit Officer supports in direct sales of loans/credit services offered by the business to customers and ensures 100% loan recovery of the assigned loan portfolio (both current and past-due) in a manner that ensures maximum return, while ensuring application of best practice and customer satisfaction in accordance with the business’ strategic objectives and credit policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
• Acquire, Maintain and Grow Customer Base: Acquire new customers, support and retain existing customers and through their retention grow the customer base of the market to deliver new customer and active customer targets.
• Know-Your-Customer and Due Diligence: As the first point of contact of the business with the customer, conduct proper due diligence and KYC to ensure that the customer is a viable customer in accordance with laid down procedures.
• Loan Repayment: In charge of consistent follow-up, negotiation of repayment schedules, and initiating recovery actions for loans in default in line with the policy guidelines and procedures.
• Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate loan performance in line with the disbursement terms and conditions.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit on timely report as may be required by management and donors.
• Performing such other tasks and duties as the Company may from time to time designate as forming part of this job description

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATION
• Minimum of a diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Microfinance, or any business-related course from a reputable institution.
• Ability to speak English and Luganda
• Prior experience as a credit officer is of an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills.
