Job details:
Kakira Sugar Limited seeks to employee a Deputy Manager — Production for its Confectionery Factory located at Kakira, Uganda. The Factory produces 250 tonnes of hard boiled sweets comprising of Cough Drops, Flat Lollipop, Ball Lollipop, Deposited Candies and Milk Toffees, per month.

The desired applicant should have a bachelors’ degree in Industrial Chemistry/Food Science Technology with 10 years’ experience in hard boiled confectionery manufacturing process; with excellent product knowledge of, Flat Lollipop, Ball Lollipop, Deposited Candies and Milk Toffees, and Compressed Sugar Tablets. Working knowledge in handling and maintenance of confectionery forming machines, high speed die line and wrapping machine, is essential. Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and motivate team work will be an added advantage.
