Director Strategy, Advocacy and Fundraising
Are you passionate about promoting cultural rights and cultural heritage? Do you have experience in organizational leadership and management?
If so, the Cross-Cultural Foundation of Uganda (CCFU) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to co-lead the organization and manage its strategy development, advocacy, fundraising and initiatives.
Background CCFU is a Uganda-registered non-governmental organization which was established in 2005 to "Promote the recognition of culture as vital for human development that responds to our national identity and diversity".
The Foundation works across the country to promote a Culture in Development Approach; to foster Cultural Rights; and to preserve Cultural Heritage. CCFU conducts lobby and advocacy initiatives, especially to safeguard Uganda's built and natural heritage, and to promote the cultural rights of indigenous persons.
The position
To strengthen its management, CCFU is seeking a new Director to serve on its leadership team. She/he will co-manage the organization together with the Director of Programmes. This position will be responsible for overall strategy development, for leading fundraising initiatives, for managing donor and other external relations, as well as for leading the Foundation's advocacy agenda. .
