JOB DETAILS:
Our client is one of the leading multinational companies in the gas and electricity sector with a global presence, operating in 30 countries and with nearly 18 million customers. The Company's fully owned subsidiary in Uganda is focused on the operation, maintenance and management of hydro-power stations. The Company requires competent individuals for various positions for a hydro power plant in Achwa, near Gulu in Northern Uganda. DRIVER
Main Purpose of the Job
To provide secure and timely driving services to transport passengers and/or goods. Deliver payment transfers to the bank and/or the suppliers; assist with postage and with pick up of office purchases.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for employees and visitors of organization.
  
• Deliver letters, documents and packets as needed from time to time.
  
• Carry our routine maintenance including checking fuel, oil and water.
  
• Check tyres regularly and maintain usable spare tyres.
  
• Keep the service vehicles in clean condition, both inside and outside
  
• Keep track of planned maintenance schedules.
  
• Observe all safety and security procedures while driving the vehicles
  
• Maintain log book of the vehicle
  
• Keep the vehicle insured as per the Company policy.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• A level certificate '
  
• Minimum 3 years of experience as driver providing logistical/technical support;
  
• Valid Driving license.
  
• Defensive driving skills
  
• Good command of English and local languages
