JOB DETAILS:
National Population Council (NPC) is a government agency established by an Act of Parliament in 2014 as a semi-autonomous institution under the Ministry of Finance Planning and Economic Development. The Council transitioned from the Population Secretarial that was established in 1988. It is mandated to coordinate the implementation of the National Population Policy and Programme, advocate for integration of population factors in development planning in accordance with the agreed framework under the National Development Plan. NPC Invites applications from suitably qualified Candidates to fill the following vacant posts.

Age: Above 30 years Reports to Director Finance and Administration
Job Summary: To drive and maintain the vehicles in accordance with the National Population Council transportation .

Duties and Responsibilities
• Driving vehicles on official duty and assignments
• Carrying out basic maintenance
• Reporting major technical mechanical faults to the supervising officer
• Maintaining basic records regarding the vehicles as instructed
• Ensuring the safety of the vehicle while on duty
• Supporting offices in loading off-loading, and items in the vehicle safely opt
• To perform related work as and when required by competent authority
• policy and as directed by the supervising officer

Qualifications:
• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a credit in English Language and valid Driving Permit of Cass DL and DM. Additional training in Mechanical Engineering will be an added advantage
• Experience: At least three (3) years’ experience from a reputable organization
• Other Requirements: Basic knowledge of mechanical and vehicle maintenance Clean driving record, Public Relations and Customer Care, Time Management and Flexibility
