BACKGROUND

USAID Uganda Communication for Healthy Communities (UCHC) project supports Government of Uganda (GOU) and US Government (USG) implementing partners to design and implement quality health communication interventions that contribute to reduction in HIV infections, total fertility, maternal and child mortality, malnutrition, malaria and tuberculosis (TB). CHO and partners are currently implementing the Obulamu? integrated health communication campaign platform that uses mass media, print and social media as well as interpersonal communication (IPC) activities. The Obulamu? Campaign aims at promoting positive health practices among the following categories of people.

  • Young adults in relationships (18 -30), including Most at Risk Populations (MARPs) with their direct and indirect key influencers.
  • Pregnant women and partners, including their direct and indirect key influencers.
  • Caretakers of children under 5 years with their direct and indirect key influencers.
  • Youth/adolescents 15-17 years with their direct and indirect key influencers

PURPOSE Uganda Health Marketing Group would like to engage an agency/ supplier firm will provide 9 experiential trucks with drivers and relevant accessories including, rigs, generators, fuel, music systems, Public Address system & DJs. These will support GHC teams in implementing 150 large group events including community shows, Kadankes' community debates, and other IPC activities for the period January to September 2017. Experiential trucks and accessories will support the following CHC regional teams:

  • Team A: Northern region
  • Team B: West Nile regions
  •  Team C: Western region
  • Team D: South Western regions
  • Team E: Central 1
  • Team F: Central 2 including Kampala
  • Team G: Eastern region including Busia
  • Team H: Karamoja region
  • Team l: East Central
    Districts to he covered per region will be provided.

The key tasks under this Sow include:

  • Provide five experiential trucks in good mechanical condition with the following details; registration number, log book, fuel capacity, tonnage, insurance details, fuel consumption rate and drivers.
  • Provide experiential truck related accessories including; DJ and music/public address system, generator with fuel and rig.
  • Using approved branding guidelines provided by GHC, brand the trucks accordingly.
  • Based on the route plan and schedule, maintain daily log sheets detailing the movement for each truck.
  • Provide receipts oi the fuel used for the trucks and generators.
  •  Provide a contingency plan to avoid disruption of implementation.
