A vacancy has arisen for on outstanding Teacher of English at Kampala International School, Uganda (KISU). KISU is one of the foremost international schools in the East African region. We are ClS/ NEASC accredited and an IB World School with over 550 students aged 2 to l8 years from 58 countries. We offer the National Curriculum for England (adapted to suit our student body and location in Uganda), IGSE's and the IB Diploma Programmes. We are blessed with great students, committed teachers and world-class facilities, located close to the centre of the city.
The IBO recently praised our "learning environment based on understanding and respect”, while CIS commended our "purpose-built facility designed to support high quality teaching and learning".
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should have a minimum of an A grade at A’ level English, a good (2:1 or better) Honours degree in English Literature and a post-graduate qualification in secondary teaching. Regrettably, in the interests of efficient use of our human resources, applications not meeting these requirements will not be considered or acknowledged. Ideally, we are looking for a teacher who has at least two years of teaching in a highly—regarded international school and experience of teaching IGCSE’s and the IB Diploma would be a great advantage.
