JOB DETAILS:
Position : Enrolled Nurse
Numbers of vacancies: 01 Position
Duty Station: Kworo Medical centre and Maternity Care, Pader
Reporting line: Head of Nurses and Midwife
Contract Duration: 01 Year Renewable


Person Specifications;
Qualifications;
• Certificate of Enrolled Nursing
• Must have registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council
• One year working experience is an additional advantage

(b) Key responsibilities and roles for a Nurse
• To implement activities of the health facility as planned.
• Link up with the targeted health facilities to ensure effective implementation of activities.
• To educate and sensitize the community during mobile clinics or other field activities.
• Provide maternal health care services to clients while observing privacy & confidentiality.
• Ensure Kworo Medical equipment are kept safe and ready for use.
• Identify clients with emergency situation and refer them for further managements.
• Provide information and counseling services to women on prenatal self-care.
• Keep daily tract records of services / activities implemented.
• Compile and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports.

(c) Other roles and responsibilities for a Nurse
• Must conduct routine dump dusting to ensure clean hygienic work environment.
• Must ensure proper disposal of wastes.
• Ensure that the medical equipment are safe and set for use.
• Ensure that every staff on duty put on Uniform/closed shoes and observe infection control measures while at work.
• He/she must observe time and maintain medical ethics at all times of service.
• Perform any other job-related duty as may be assigned by the supervisor.
