Background
Enabel in Uganda is seeking to recruit dynamic and competent individuals to fill 2 vacancies for the position of Entrepreneurship and Resilience Officer based either in the Jinja or Arua
The Entrepreneurship and Resilience Officer will support vulnerable youth including young women in the West Nile Region (i.e. refugee hosting districts) and Busoga region, to develop sustainable micro- or small businesses that enable them to generate income and enhance their economic resilience and food security.
Job description
Joining Enabel as an Entrepreneurship and Resilience Officer, you will be directly reporting to the Project Manager and you will perform the following key tasks:
• You contribute to the design and roll-out of a competitive call for proposals (grant projects) for business development initiatives that promote the economic integration of vulnerable youth;
• You lead the technical and operational monitoring of selected grant projects in collaboration with finance and M&E colleagues;
• You oversee and support outreach activities to mobilise the targeted beneficiaries by engaging community representatives and paying attention to sensitisation to gain community and household support;
• You provide technical support to implementing partners in areas of grant management, quality business development services, financial literacy development, and access to finance and inclusion strategies;

Your Profile
• A Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Business-related studies;
• A Bachelor of Entrepreneurship and small business management or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in entrepreneurship/self-employment support (e.g., incubation support, entrepreneurial soft skills trainings, technical assistance to entrepreneurs and micro or small businesses, etc.);
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in entrepreneurship promotion and small businesses management amongst vulnerable youth and women;
• Experience with or good understanding of the actors and economic opportunities in the green economy and agribusiness;
• Good experience with economic empowerment of vulnerable youth and women
