Uganda Petroleum Institute, Kigumba (UPIK) is a Government Tertiary Institution which was created by the Statutory Instruments No. 31 of 2011, of the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act, 2001 as amended. The mandate of UPIK is to provide world-class education and training in fields related to Oil and Gas sector. Uganda Petroleum Institute Kigumba now invites applications from qualified Ugandans who fully meet the required job specifications and with the right personal attributes to occupy the following job positions in the institute's structure.
Estates Officer,
Scale: U5
Duties
• Inspecting the properties to determine their repair. and maintenance requirements;
• Ensuring that all equipment and installations are maintained in good working condition;
• Ensuring that all solid waste generated is timely, safety and appropriately collected; temporally stored and promptly disposed of;
• Ensuring that there is sate and effective disposal oi waste water as welt as storm water;
• Ensuring prompt settlement of bins for utilities; _
• Identifying assets that are due for disposal and ensuring that they are safely stored until authority to dispose them is secured;
Person Specifications
• Applicants must be holders of a higher Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution with At Least two years‘relevant working experience in a reputable organization
• Registration with the relevant professional body is of added advantage‘
