Uganda Technical College Lira is a public tertiary Institution offering training in engineering related trades. With the support from the World Bank, the College is implementing a project titled “Uganda Skills Development Project that will lay a foundation for the College to transform into a “Centre of Excellence” in Road Construction and Highway Engineering . 1 POSITION
Duties
• Inspecting the properties to determine their repair, and maintenance requirements;
• Ensuring that all equipment and installations are maintained in good working condition;
• Ensuring that all solid waste generated is timely, safely and appropriately collected, temporarily stored and promptly disposed of;
• Ensuring that there is safe and effective disposal of waste water as well as storm water;
• Ensuring prompt settlement of bills for utilities;
• Identifying assets that are due for disposal and ensuring that they are safely stored until authority to dispose them is secured;
• Performing any other duties as assigned
Person specifications
• Applicants must be holders of a higher Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution with Atleast two years’ relevant working experience in a reputable organization
• Registration with the relevant professional body is of added advantage
