Recruitment of an Executive Director
Our client the Agri Business Development Centre (ADC) a Non-Governmental Organisation founded in 2017 with the objective of providing technical support to Farmer Based Organisations (FBOs) and SMEs in Agribusiness, is seeking to recruit an Executive Director. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will be responsible for developing, overseeing, co-ordinating and implementing ADC's strategy of providing technical support and training to FBOs and SMEs in Agribusiness. .

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Have overall strategic and operational responsibility for all ADC programs;
• Provide leadership to the ADC strategic planning process, and to the ADC management team,
• Serve as a liaison between ADCs Board of Directors and its partners which include FBOs, funders and other external stakeholders;
• Develop, implement and manage the organization's annual budget and monitor its implementation;
• Provide effective and inspiring leadership to the rest of the ADC management team by being actively involved in all programs and services, demonstrating a broad and deep knowledge of all the programs;
• Ensure the continued financial viability of ADC operational units through sound financial management;
• Identify opportunities for ADC to leverage cross program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organizational challenges;
• Manage and cultivate existing relationships with funders as well as identify new potential funders to secure and expand recurring revenue streams;
• Publicly represent ADC with the media and external constituency groups including the local community, governmental, and private organizations and be the brand ambassador of ADC in the country;
• Lead in the formulation of ADCs strategic and business plans in consultation with the Board of Directors;
• Promote and effectively communicate ADCs programs and accomplishments, and capably represent the organisation at official functions and meetings;
• Direct the creation of policies and procedures necessary for the proper implementation of ADCs programs and projects;
• Lead, inspire, train and coach a team of high calibre professionals within ADC who will ensure that ADC meets its desired objective of providing training. organisational development and financial literacy to FBO's and SME's in agribusiness in Uganda.

Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum a Master's Degree in Agriculture or Finance;
• At least ten (10) years working experience of which five (5) years must be at a senior managerial or executive position as a senior program, department or project officer in a reputable company or organisation;
• Outstanding organisational, leadership and analytical thinking, with excellent problem solving, human resource management and project management skills;
• Experience in financial management with excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills;
• Experience in funding proposal writing, financial management and other forms of resource development, with the ability to manage multiple programs, working with diverse partners in different geographic locations;
• Experience in providing training on the use of digital technologies to FBO's; and Experience in program budgeting, program monitoring and evaluation


Job Education Requirements: Minimum a Master's Degree in Agriculture or Finance
