Brief Description
UCLF is a registered NGO and has a Secretariat that is responsible for running of the Organization’s activities which among others include; providing a forum for members of the Fraternity to exchange views and ideas amongst themselves and with other associations and individuals on matters of legal and the Christian faith, advocating for the enactment and implementation of fair laws and policies which are in harmony with Christian principles, providing, promoting and advancing education especially among law students within universities, institutions, schools and centers of learning, providing legal aid, legal education, counseling and consultancy services to the indigent, prison inmates, churches and other church and charitable organizations, and forming and maintaining outreach teams to enter into and teach the Christian faith in schools, colleges and other places of education, youth clubs, places of employment and churches and to assist and support Christian activities in such bodies.

Reporting to: UCLF Board
Duty Station: This position is full time and the bearer will be stationed at UCLF office, Kampala with field travels within and outside Uganda.
Nature of Contract: Two years contract, renewable.

Key responsibilities: Facilitate the ministry of the organization by managing and coordinating the programs, leading and guiding the staff, do networking and resource mobilization for the organization and provide policy and strategic direction for the organization.
Accountability and Supervision: The Executive Director will be directly accountable to the Board. He/she will be responsible for UCLF’s programs and other resources within the Organization.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience, and competences

• Ugandan citizen not bellow 35 years of age.
• Honors degree in Law from a recognized University is preferable. A Master’s degree in Organizational management, Development studies, Business management or Project management is an added advantage.
• Significant experience in establishing and maintaining donor relationships, developing funding proposals/resource mobilization, budgeting and public relations.
• A minimum of 5 years working experience with NGO’s and other community related projects
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience in inter-denominational working relationships through involvement in various church ministries.
• Effective self leadership as an individual contributor in a high performance environment.
• A Bible believing Christian who is strongly grounded in the Word of God and has closer relationship with a local Church and involved in church ministries.
• Sound computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet explorer
