NEC-STREIT (U) LTD is a Joint Venture Company between National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) and STREIT Group for the manufacture and assembly of armoured vehicles for both military and VIP civilians.
NEC is the commercial arm of Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs/ Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) which was established in 1989 by the Act of Parliament to produce goods and services that are beneficial to the Defence Forces, Veterans of UPDF and the general public
For this purpose NEC-STREIT (U) LTD is looking for a competent person to hire for the position of Facility Management Engineer
Job Title: Facility Management Engineer

Job Summary
Take care of the company facilities and be responsible for assessing the facility's resource requirements, designing and optimizing the facility's layout and critical operational systems, and overseeing the maintenance of infrastructure and equipment.

Job Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements.
• Conduct and document regular facilities inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
• Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
• Obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers Negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost saving Manage contractor and vendor relationships Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives
• Develop a growth strategy.

Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience as a facilities engineer or in a similar role. Experience with AutoCAD, SAP, and MS Office. Knowledge of the building process and construction principles
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
