JOB DETAILS:
OVERVIEW
Building Tomorrow (BT) improves access to child-friendly, community-supported primary schools by providing an inclusive, transformative education for underserved children. The Building Tomorrow Fellows serve as change agents who work with community education teams to enroll formerly out-of-school children, promote inclusiveness, as well improve with administrators school leadership and management. To date, BT has worked with over 10,000 Community Education Volunteers (CEVs) to reach 100,000+ learners with foundational skills in literacy and numeracy.

We are recruiting for our Cohort 9 class of fellows, young ambitious and creative leaders to help support learning in rural districts of Uganda. If you hold a university degree, and are passionate about improving primary education outcomes, then this is for you. The Building Tomorrow Fellows program is highly selective and offers young leaders the opportunity to practice and hone skills in leadership skills whilst support improvement in rural support schools over a period of 2 years. Upon completion, you can join a dynamic, creative, and vision-oriented network of alums

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Passionate about community development with a desire to create social impact.
• Possess a passion for education equality, creative ingenuity, a relentless work ethic, and belief in collaboratively engaging.
• Commit to complete 24 months of the leadership journey with strict compliance to Building Tomorrow code of conduct.
• Able to ride a motorcycle to navigate rural communities and willing to relocate to rural districts.
• Able to speak at least one local language(s) especially in Eastern, Central and Western regions.
• Strong communication and demonstrated leadership skills, and a high degree of emotional intelligence.
• Computer literate and competent in Microsoft Office essentials
• Operating experience with smart devices such as phones and tablets.
