Finance Manager The purpose of the Job is to take lead in financial management including credit control, treasury, financing, accounts payable, assets, master data, statutory reporting and insurance activities. The role pays particular heed to managing the company’s financial risk, balance sheet risk, credit risk and liquidity risk.This role will be based at the Hima Cement Head Office..

Key responsibilities will include:
• Prepare statutory financial statements for Hima and its subsidiaries.
• Act as the custodian for the Interim and final closing- and external audit planning.
• Prepare the Financial Section report for the Board papers.
• Ensure that the monthly Credit Committee meetings are planned, that the credit control function is well prepared for the meetings.
• Prepare the monthly cash conversion report, review the full year cash flow forecast and prepare the yearly cash flow budget.
• Monitor all direct reports in terms of their on time and quality of deliverables and continuously engage them in their development.
• Maintain the monthly and yearly transactional volumes of the financial transaction processing department.
• Ensure that all direct reports understand and comply with LHARP, IAS and IFRS.
• Engage with Banks, inter LH companies, External Auditors, Suppliers, Group Treasury and Customers to resolve issues and protect Hima’s interests.
• Act as the Business Process Owner (BPO) owner for the assigned controls.
• Ultimate custodian for all balance sheet accounts in the trial balance as well as Income statement.
• Ensure that Hima adheres to and complies with Credit control, Insurance and Group Treasury rules and policies.
• Act as the Manager for Hima’s Insurance portfolio in terms of risks and premiums iro all insurable risks.
• Review and approve all supplier’s payments and payroll for Hima Uganda

• A business related Bachelor’s degree.
• A Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA) is added advantage.
• SAP Knowledge is an added advantage
• At least five years of related work experience is require.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS
• Good experience of management accounting with specific attention to production cost management.
• Good understanding of internal controls.
• Strong mental & physical stamina
• Highly motivated, results driven, responsible and accountable.
• Self-sufficient, capable of independent decision making
