Job details:
KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Management and oversight on Federation financial resources.
  • Responsible for administration (Assets, stores over sight and management). ,
  • Payroll management.
  • Financial forecasts and reporting.
  • Ensuring proper accountability.
  • Supervision of line staff.
  • Monitoring project/grants fund utilization compliance.
  • Complies with local tax roles and other local legal requirements.
  • Coordinates annual external audit; and support implementation of the resulting plan of action and audit corrective measures.
  • Monitoring procurement processes

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

  • A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Accounting), Business Administration (Accounting) or any other Finance management related field with a relevant experience.
    Partial professional qualification in ACCA or CPA is an added advantage
  • Certificate in Procurement and Supply Chain Management is required
  • Practical computer skills and experience with any accounting software is desirable.
  • Excellent reporting skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Highly flexible and able to work beyond normal working hours, as need arises.
  • At least three years’ working experience in a busy NGO setting.
  • Demonstrated relevant work experience in accounting, including analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial software! Reporting systems. Experience in an organization with UN/EU/USG Grants Standard Provisions and Financial Requirements preferable.
  • Strong understanding of generally ‘Accepted Accounting Principles, international Accounting Standards, internal controls, and segregation of duties.
  • Good understanding of grants administrative, financial and general management principles and skilled in financial reporting, budgeting and taxes.
  • Ability to work independently and under tight time constraints.
