JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
To source asset management business, to develop the market in the area where the resource is operating, to aggressively and successfully promote Britam business and achieve set performance targets

Nature and Scope:
This position reports to the Business Development Manager. The jobholder is tasked to implement the Direct sales strategy geared towards achievement of company targets.

Responsibilities:
• Identify and engage potential clients and generate business in line with agreed targets.
• Ensuring that the business unit is responsible for meeting their monthly and annual targets as set by management.
• Ensure that all accounts opened are fully funded in line with Britam's internal policy.
• Conservation and retention of business through after sales services.
• Develop Unique and customized strategies to ensure the Britam is the market leader.
• Identifying and recommending Independent Financial consultants to the company for appointment.
• Maintaining accurate records for the Business Unit being handled in line with company standards as well as the Regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that accurate and competitive quotations are prepared and delivered promptly to clients in the region being handled.
• Coordinate with the Client Service Department to ensure the accounts are issued within two working days on receipt of proposal/Risk notes.
• Coordinate with the Client Service Department and ensure that accounts roll over notices are sent to the clients at least four weeks prior to renewal date in all lines of business. Ensure that all documentation including: contract notes, settlement proof of payment and all other correspondences, have been submitted to the clients within reasonable time.
• Ensure excellent customer service is upheld at the Service Centre to enable the Company retains existing customers and attract prospective clients.
• Gather marketing intelligence statistics including competition, new products and execution of competitive tactics to facilitate development of strategies to give the company a competitive advantage in line with Business Unit handled.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on production for the Business Unit.
• Assist in coordinating the redemption notification, communicating to the clients, and the requisite documents in support of a redemption, updating the clients during all stages of the claim settlement process
• Handle clients' initial complaints written or verbal and refer to the Business Development Manager
• Present an excellent image of the Company at all times in line with the Company's acceptable standards.
• Monitoring dient portfolios and reference to company for organic growth and cross selling.
• Assists in other duties as needed and directed.

Mode of remuneration:
• Monthly retainer and commissions based job computed on all business generated.

Qualifications, knowledge, experience
Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent;
• Minimum 2 years' sales experience with bias in Life Insurance or Financial services.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer/software packages.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc.
