JOB DETAILS:
Security Group Uganda Limited is one of the leading and most innovative organization in the security industry. The company has realized the need lo recruit competent person in the following position to be based at its head office in Kampala.
Title: Fleet Manager
To maintain an efficient and effective management of all the company's fleet and associated equipment. Ensure their control are in place to maximize service delivery..

  Key Performance Areas:
• Manage a well-maintained fleet
• Manage and provide effective leadership to the existing team
• Develop a clear staff training program for the department and ensure that knowledge is tested several times per year as per laid down procedures.
• Manage, Audit and maintain compliance at all levels
• Ensure that all business recovery/contingency plans held within the company are always kept up to date

  Experience:
• Substantial vehicle & motorcycle management experience gained through working in a large and busy organization
• Enthusiastic and committed approach with a track record of building strong trusted base relationship with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. ‘
• A sound working knowledge of mechanical and automotive engineering
• Good knowledge of government legislation in regard to fleet management
• Experience in developing working administrative systems for a department
• Building a strong security management system
• Experienced negotiator
• Experienced at preparing and managing budgets

Skills & Abilities:
• Strong management and leadership skills together with excellent communication, influencing, negotiating, numerical and documentation and engagement skills
• Sound judgment and decision making with a hands on problem solving approach, able to remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents.
• Ability to organize a demanding workload and work within tight deadlines
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Ability of writing procedures, drafting reports, preparing business cases and compiling and adjusting duty rosters to meet shortfalls in staffing levels.

  Minimum qualification
• A bachelors degree in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering.
• A post graduate diploma in vehicle maintenance and management is an added advantage
• Minimum of 8 years’ working experience
