JOB DETAILS:
The holder of the position is responsible for checks and controls of product quality at Selecta Uganda. He/she always takes into consideration the objectives of the company, the agreed procedures/guidelines and the objectives of the position

Duties and Responsibilities for this Job.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Monitoring and inspecting quality of product
• Organizing and supervising the activities in the quality department on an ongoing basis
• Overseeing the staff in the quality department to ensure timing, quality and efficiency of work performance
• Proper documenting and reporting of information
• Taking ever delegated tasks and responsibilities from the Head of Department in case of absence
• Ensure a safe and healthy work place
• Other management activities, like Continuous Improvement (CI), Toolbox Talks, trainings, Phyto Tours, using management tools ie., SFM, ICL etc to support the organization in achieving its core function of producing cuttings of high quality in the required quantity. Minimum qualification
• Diploma/Certificate in Agriculture, Quality Management, or related field from a recognized
• institute

• Ability to work under minimum supervision
• Able to plan, organize and follow up on the work activities of subordinates
• Computer skills and knowledge of Windows applications (e.g. MS Office).
• Able to effectively analyse work related problems and decide a best course of action within the scope of responsibility.
• Able to precisely process data, and take adequate action of required,
• Able to build good spirit of team werk among his or her groups. A good team leader who can guide subordinates towards achieving high performance standards, in line with company objectives.
• Able to train others to take over the position in his or her absence,
• Able to communicate comprehensively without prejudice in a correct manner.
• Able to resolve conflict constructively and encourage collaboration within the company. Ability to speak Luganda Language is also an added advantage
