Foreman - Electrical Works

Job description
The Foreman - Electrical Works will be responsible for managing other electricians ensuring that projects are properly installed. He / She will conduct regular inspections to make sure that all the required supplies, materials and equipment are available and working as intended. The job holder will also be required to assist with the electrical work when needed. He / She will ensure that the Electrical Unit team members understand the electrical plans and proper electrical wiring procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Supervise on-site installation of electrical wiring, conduit, and other various electrical equipment.
• Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Coordinate with other project team members to schedule installations, site visits, and shutdowns.
• Estimates materials and timelines prior to beginning work.
• Follow specifications on blueprints/diagrams/technical drawings for installations.
• Supervise/Conduct all repairs and installations according to code.
• Utilize all safety equipment and follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain a neat and organized work environment.
• Create schedules and assign teams to jobs based on skill levels and job difficulty.

Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic Engineering or any other related course

Skills and experience
• Four (4) YEAR experience in a Heavy Construction setting required
• Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements and jurisdictional issues, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate electrical/electronic works
• Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
• Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
