JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary;
This role is for the development and sourcing of all the alternative fuels streams. The role calls for
a good knowledge of the alternative fuels, their seasonality and the sourcing strategies. It also
requires strong interpersonal skills to be able to maintain strong relations with the suppliers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Certify adherence to all the Health, safety and environment rules in all our operations.
• Guarantee strong adherence to the company’s Code of Business Conduct in all our operations.
• Carry out Health and Safety audits on a quarterly basis at all the identified suppliers’ sites
• Follow up on the actions closure of the identified gaps at the suppliers’ sites and inform the team on the progress of the actions.
• Develop and maintain a fully detailed suppliers’ database, constantly updating the database with new supplier entries, exits, deliveries made by each supplier, among others.
• Develop a monthly sourcing plan and focus areas and share with the rest of the team for implementation.
• Conduct at least one visit every quarter to each of the suppliers identified
• Develop a monthly report detailing the activities around alternative fuels sourcing, lows and highs for the month, projections for the subsequent month and focus areas, among other aspects.
• Propose to the business new possible streams for alternative fuels and ensure some of these are incorporated into the system.
• Propose to the business new material suppliers and have them prequalified and onboarded, if and when necessary.
• Provide weekly updates to the team about the status of the alternative fuels in the field and propose some actions for sourcing improvement.
• Act as the first contact point for all suppliers, in case of qualification and on boarding, any grievances, delivering messages or documentations, among others.
• Submit supplier complaints to the rest of the team and propose possible solutions to the grievances
• Coordinate with the Geocycle Logistics team about trucks allocation to the suppliers, depending on the priority needs and business demands.

Required Qualifications skills and attributes.
• Bachelors of Honours Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement and or Environmental Management. Certifications in Occupational Health and Safety will be of added advantage
• Not less than 2 years’ experience in busy commercial environment/FMCG.
• Good computer knowledge, especially in an ERP environment and reporting tools (Good knowledge of SAP).
• Good knowledge of common spreadsheet applications desirable)
• Proven experience in dealing with alternative fuels and industrial raw materials.
• Proven understanding of sourcing strategies and countrywide biomass availability and seasonality.
• Proven knowledge of industrial occupational health and safety procedures

• A Valid driving permit of not less than 2 years’ experience. Manual drive is an added advantage.
