JOB DETAILS:
Background: The Uganda Sanitation for Health Activity (USHA) is financed by the United States Agency for international Development (USAID) in Uganda with the goal of increasing the number of people with access to improved and sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services, ultimately leading to improved health and nutrition status in focus areas and population groups.
SNV USA is recruiting for three positions described below:
Governance Specialist..

The Governance Specialist will work closely with the USHA Senior Technical WASH Manager, Regional Manager, and other team members to provide technical advisory services to District Local Governments, and facilitate partnerships, resource mobilization, knowledge development and networking related to institutional strengthening of district level sanitation and hygiene governance. This full-time position will be based in Jinja, Uganda.

Qualifications: Master's degree in a related field. 7-10 years of experience in implementing institutional strengthening of district level sanitation and hygiene governance, especially in the Ugandan context. Strong English oral and written skills, and any related local language. Ability to meet deliverables and deadlines, and work with minimum supervision and under pressure
