Markh was formally established in 2004 with only one truck. The aim was to be the main provider to the service-transport industry in Uganda and the region at large. The company fleet is fitted with the latest trucking system, enabling constant monitoring from a central room. All our drivers undergo defensive driving courses (DDCs) which are refreshed annually. Markh staff and drivers undergo health and safety training daily.

HUMAN RESOURCE SCOPE OF WORK AT MARKH INVESTMENTS


Job purpose

  • The purpose of HRM is to maximize the productivity of an organization by optimizing the effectiveness of its employees
  • Serve as a link between an organization‘s management and its employees
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the administrative functions of an organization
  • Managing people & develop the workplace culture
  • Manage, create, implement and supervise policies/regulations which are mandatory for every employee
  • Ability to lead and develop HR department

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Leading an HR organization programs and policies
  • Develop HR policies, programs and practices
  • Collecting time and attendance
  • Performance management
  • Organizational development
  • Documenting grievances, termination, absences, performance reports & compensation & benefits information
  • Recruiting, Hiring and Training new employees
  • Screening
  • Interviewing and placing workers
  • Departmental development
  • HRIS
  • Labor law compliance
  • Record keeping
  • Conducting orientations
  • Suggest to management how to strategically manage people as business resources
  • Suggesting employ training and development strategies
  • Healthy and safety
  • Employee motivation
  • Advise on staffing levels
