Position: Head Corporate Business

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Head Corporate Business. The position holder will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be based at the Head Office in Kampala.

Main Responsibilities
1. Give strategic direction in management of corporate life and pensions.
2. Create and maintain productive relationship with corporate clients
3. Monitor quotation requests from clients/brokers/agents to ensure correctness and timely delivery.
4. Review scheme performance and advise appropriate renewal terms.
5. Ensure medical underwriting is conducted efficiently and decisions communicated in time.
6. Review and approval of corporate claims and advise appropriate claim Improvement measures.
7. Ensure business is done in compliance with relevant operational manuals, reinsurance treaties and regulatory guidelines.

Key Competencies
1. Exposure to Reinsurance Management and Accounting (Treaty, Facultative) Listening skills
2. Ability to understand and interpret Embedded value report published by Actuarial team
3. Ability to coordinate multiple assignments and prioritize effort and resources on high-value, high impact activities 4. Ability to proactively build rapport and work with others
4. Should be able to think out of the box and capable of doing an end-to-end execution

Qualifications
1. An undergraduate degree in Insurance/Actuarial Science or Business-related course from a recognized university.
2. A Post Graduate Diploma/Degree in Insurance or Actuarial Science will be an added advantage.
3. Qualification or in pursuit of CII, ANZIIF, ACII from CII UK or Advanced Diploma by Insurance Training College Uganda) 3. Holder of a professional qualification (COP, CII or equivalent).
4. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and packages

Relevant Experience
• A minimum of 5 years working experience in life insurance (covering, Corporate Business, Pensions)
