Job title: Head Extension and Quality Services
Reporting To; General Manager - Milk Procurement and Extension Services

Job Objective
Responsible for ensuring the raw milk quality standards are achieved and continuously monitor quality of the raw milk as well as improve and grow the services offered to the milk suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
• Liaise with the farmers groups and suppliers in ensuring that the milk quality standards are adhered to
• Manage collection of high quality milk in the region
• Supervise milk procurement staff working in the region
• Regulate milk procurement to required levels and contain cost of procurement
• Handle farmer's complaints
• Keep appraised on new developments within the industry on milk quality and dairy management.
• Organize and participate in selected field days and any other forums
• Oversee and ensure smooth operations of cooling and collection centers
• Submit daily/weekly report

Minimum qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills
A degree in Food Science and Technology or Agriculture or Animal Production from recognized University/Institution (Masters of Science in Agriculture is an added advantage).
• Management and supervisory skills
• Knowledge and good understanding of Diary Technology
• Should be exposed in Quality Management Systems.
