Role Overview:
The Head Teacher manages a primary or secondary school in the district, ensuring effective teaching, learning, and administration while promoting a conducive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage school operations, including staff supervision and student discipline.
- Oversee the implementation of the curriculum and monitor teaching standards.
- Prepare school budgets, work plans, and reports for submission to the District Education Officer.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of school facilities and resources.
- Promote co-curricular activities, such as sports and clubs, to enhance student development.
- Engage parents and the community in school activities and development.
- Address welfare issues for students and staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Bachelor’s Degree with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution.
- At least 6 years of teaching experience, with 3 years in a leadership role (e.g., Deputy Head Teacher).
- Must be registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports.

- Conflict resolution and team management.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacancies which exist in Kaberamaido District Local Government.
