JOB DETAILS:
Title: Head of Finance and Administration
This position reports to the Managing Director

JOB Summary.
Support the Bank’s Finance function in accordance with the established professional standards, policies and procedures and give a general strategic and operational guidance on all financial matters of the bank

JOB Description
1. Coordinating the planning and preparation of the bank’s Strategic Business plan
2. Oversight of compliance with corporate and country financial reporting practices
3. Management of periodical reporting to management, Board and Regulator.
4. Managing communications with the Bank’s Executive Committee, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders on financial matters
5. Oversight of the Bank’s Financial transaction recording process in line with generally accepted accounting principles
6. Development, improvement and oversight of revenue and expenditure consistency checks and balances that promote performance management
7. Management support through cost benefit analyses of investment and financing proposal
8. Participation in credit risk and market risk management processes
9. Provision of tax planning and compliance expertise
10. Overall development of the Finance function within the institution and adaptation to needs of changing environment with process improvements
11. Any other duties as assigned by the Managing Director of the Bank

Experience Requirements
• Strong strategic and conceptual skills
• Leadership and team management skills
• Minimum of five years of post-qualification experience two of which should be at management level.
• Solid Business acumen and financial skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Supplier relations and negotiation skills
• Networking skills, tact and diplomacy; with ability to influence key people inside and outside the Bank
• Very strong presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure, and exercise excellent judgment
• Solid computer competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, knowledge of accounting packages desired

Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance or Business-related field.
• MUST be an active member of ICPAU
• Master’s degree in Business, Accounting or related filed is added advantage
