Job details:
An international leading Solar Energy Provider in Uganda operating in Western Uganda in the districts of Mbarara, lbanda, Kiruhura, Bushenyi, Sheema, Ntungamo, Rubirizi, lsingiro, Mitooma, lbanda, Kyegegwa, Sembabule and Buhweju. ls looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position:

Position : Head of Marketing
Reports to: General Manager

The person should be mature (30 years and above). A team leader, goal-driven. Result oriented individual with ability to work under pressure, meet targets and with good management skills. He/she should exhibit good communication skills and have the ability to deliver sales, be able to speak local languages and able to work in a rural setting under minimum supervision.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organizational sales and marketing plans in line with the overall business strategy. look out for new target customers and new growth opportunities in the market
• Coordinate and manage the operations of the Energy Stores and ensure that the Sales and Marketing team is well motivated and productive
• Taking part in the selection and recruitment process in order to ensure the right people for the right jobs in the team and ensure that all staff in the sales team have proper job descriptions
• Setting performance targets, monitoring performance through regular appraisals of the team at the Energy Stores
• Ensure regular and timely reporting of sales and Marketing performance to the management team

Qualifications and Experience:

• The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree in any business related course from a recognized University.
• At least 4 years’ experience in top management level, working in a business environment.
•  Experience in sales and marketing
• Good understanding of working with targets
• Driver's license
• Minimum age of 30 years Knowledge, Skills Bi Competences
• Proven ability to carry out direct selling
• Demonstrated ability to mentor sales staff to achieve greater sales figures
• Proven ability to work in a self-disciplined & proactive manner
• Good negotiation skills and customer focused
• Good team player with high levels of flexibility.
• Proven report-writing skills. Ability to drive manual car with driver's license.
• Knowledge in solar services will be of an added Advantage
