JOB DETAILS:
Job Title: Head of Retail
Reports to: Deputy - Chief Executive Officer
Job Purpose: To grow retail business performance by effectively managing the retail team and branch network to achieve retail targets and business profitability.

Key Performance Areas
• Develop and ensure implementation of the retail business strategy in line with the Bank’s overall strategy and direction.
• Achieve retail business portfolio growth and increase profitability through effective retail sales planning/forecasting, monitoring and execution.
• Work with Business Units to develop joint marketing strategies and gain from synergies available through the Bank’s customer base to gain market share.
• Establish and implement effective business processes and controls for a sound and compliant Retail Banking business.
• Ensure provision of seamless service delivery across the branch network and availability of online services so as to enhance the customer experience and convenience.
• Engage and lead the team to develop new products that address the changing needs of our customers
• Oversee operations and provide support to branches in line with growth of the Retail business,
• Manage the bank’s advertising strategy and public relations relating to Retail Banking, in close coordination with the Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Business.
• Oversee branding activities for departmental products to enhance product image and visibility
• Effectively recruit, lead and coach the retail sales team to deliver results..

Personal Specifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business related field such as Commerce, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
• At least 10
• 12 years’ Banking experience preferably in Retail Banking, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing, Banking Operations and at least 5 years should be at Managerial level.
• MBA – Marketing or Finance will be an added advantage.
