Organization: Watoto Child Care Ministries

Watoto Church and Childcare Ministries has experienced exponential growth in the past couple of years composed of multiple Celebration Centers (Campuses) and diverse Community care initiatives that include; Child Care, Community and Neighborhood, Education and FM Radio amongst others. In all of this, Watoto remains a local church, committed to celebrating Christ and caring for community.
Watoto is seeking to recruit a Home Manager to oversee and manage a Baby Watoto facility, ensuring alignment with the vision, mission, and policies of Watoto Child Care Ministries.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (BUT NOT LIMITED TO;)
- To plan, coordinate and manage the day-to-day general operations of the home facility.
- To provide oversight in the day-to-day care of babies.
- To contribute to the development, evaluation, update of policies and procedures, operational workplans, and budgets in alignment with the organisation vision.
- To oversee maintenance needs of the facilities, and ensure the highest standard of Hygiene, and aesthetic appeal.
- To assist in research, development, and review baby care practices to ensure that best standard practices are being executed.
- To manage and lead staff daily to ensure that professional standards are upheld, and a high level of care is provided to the babies in the home facility.
- To ensure seamless operations, execution of responsibilities, encompass budget management and oversight, report preparation and submission, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- To train, supervise, and develop home staff especially supervisors and unit heads.
- To guide tours to the home facility, and coordinate communication of planned visits, and manage networks.
- To prepare and submit periodic operational, financial and performance reports on the home facility.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- The applicant for the role of a Home Manager should hold at least a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Community Psychology, Human resource management and Education.
- At least a minimum of three years' working experience in a childcare organization.
- Must be passionate about children and able to pay attention to detail.
- Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children.
- Must have good interpersonal skills and report writing skills.
- Good computer skills such as: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Should be a collaborator, result oriented, initiative-taking and able to work under minimum supervision.
