Overview
Key Result Areas: *Manpower Planning: Work in close coordination with process owners, managers, HODs in to assess, identify and fill manpower gaps in line with the organization’ business goals *Sourcing: Leverage best-in-class sourcing methodologies to generate a qualified and relevant pool of candidates using advertising (internal & external), databank scrutiny, employee referrals, social media channels, head hunting & search; Optimization of sourcing mix channels to generate the best candidate fitment *Assessments & Selections: Lead the selection process, starting with shortlisting, assessments, coordination of interviews, getting relevant approvals, signoffs from the Hiring Managers till the Offer Rollouts/ Joining’s *Talent Pipelining: Build a passive talent pool of potential candidates for future job requirement(s) using referrals, Boolean search, events, social media, and similar such sourcing tools; nurturing strong relationships with the potential pool of candidates on a regular basis *Induction/Orientation/Onboarding: Ensure new hired employees are fully inducted/oriented in their job profiles including but not limited to conditions of service, code of conduct, GRR (General Rules and Regulations), ISO systems, health and safety policy etc and settled well in job *Role Analysis/ Job Evaluations: review job descriptions, job analysis for all roles across the group to arrive at the best fitment *Review and update on all selection and appraisal MIS (documentation, salary structure, policies & procedures as guided by line manager and HOD and recruitment SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), *Post Hire Activities: Track probationary periods for new hires regular employment contracts of employees and ensure appropriate actions are taken *Performance Appraisal: Champion the appraisal management process across the company; implement results of appraisals exercise including salary reviews HRM: Participate in the development and implementation of human resource policies & procedures; Conduct salary surveys as required to benchmark & provide market centric inputs on compensation; Participate in audits (internal & external)as per regulatory requirements; Campus Hiring: Recruit for and coordinate the Graduate trainees’ program and Interns program in collaboration with leading educational institutions in Uganda; Any other duties assigned by the Human Resource Manager from time to time. The position reports into the HR Manager. Job Ref.No. MIUL/HRA-RA
Educational Qualifications & Experience: *Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Organizational Psychology or related discipline; A Master’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration would be an added advantage; A minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role in a large manufacturing firm or a large diversified group is essential
Skills & Professional Attributes: Strong Interpersonal & Communication skills; Counselling skills; Result Orientation; Creativity and innovation, Good Written Communication skills; A strong knowledge base of existing Labour laws in Uganda and utilization of any recruitment system is a must.
