JOB DETAILS:
The Hub Coordinator will ensure the safe and efficient movement; handling and storage of products into and out of the aggregation hub, tracking the movement of products on the company’s portal and reconciling stock movements to ensure no product loss. The responsibilities of the role will include:
Oversee receiving of inputs and offtake from input suppliers and logistics providers respectively, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
• Timely and efficient dispatch of inputs and offtake products to farmers/agro dealers/company agents and processors respectively
• Maintaining an efficient space utilisation within the hub by maintaining a good setup layout.
• Adhering to all warehousing, handling and logistics regulatory requirements
• Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.
• Managing stock control and reconciling with company system
• Ensuring budget efficiency by maintaining best cost efficient ways of operation
• Liaising with suppliers, transport companies and internally with Regional Engagement Coordinators (RECs) as well as Village Baseds Agents (VBAs).
• Planning route plans for distribution and aggregation of products in liaison with RECs and VBAs and appraising results.
• Managing day to day business relationships with contracted logistics providers and scheduling trips with them for movement of stock in and out of the aggregation hub
• Keeping updated stock reports on the company system and reporting regularly (IN/OUT status report, expired stock report etc.)
• Timely reporting of risks with stock storage, transport and stock movements e.g. stock spoilage, expiry of products, foreign matter contamination etc.
• Managing the farmer information centre which will be domiciled at the aggregation hub making sure to log farmer queries and feedback and forwarding the same to the RECs
• Interacting with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand to forecast drivers.
We are looking for someone with high integrity and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal individual will have the ability to work independently and have good project and time management skills. Furthermore, good written and communication skills and a good attention to detail will be expected.
Requirements
• Diploma/ Degree in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management or relevant qualifications
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a Manufacturing/logistics/warehousing environment
• Strong understanding of warehousing and logistics regulation in the country and best practice
• Ability to work in a matrixed environment with multiple cross-functional stakeholders
• Exposure to corporate health and safety programs
• Good verbal/written communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organisation
• Strong organisational skills
Advantageous
• Experience in handling agricultural inputs
