Job Overview:
We seek to recruit a highly competent, motivated and professional individual to fill the position of Human Resource Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Streamline the Human Resource function and ensure that it supports fully business operations with minimal lapses.
• Coordinate the onboarding process for new staff, includes recruitment for positions that fall vacant.
• Coordinate staff performance management initiatives. These include: Setting KPIs, developing appraisal tools, coordinating the appraisal process, developing training needs, developing a training plan, coordinate performance discussions with team leaders, design and implement Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) for underperforming staff.
• Coordinate coaching and mentoring among team leaders.
• Grievance handling. Convene hearing sessions for aggrieved staff and ensure that all staff are fairly heard before any decision is taken.
• Monitoring the attendance of all staff.
• Monitoring the contracts for every employee and when they are expiring for effective planning.
• Take lead in convening monthly management meetings, take minutes communicate key actions and follow up with the respective members of staff.
• Design channels for appreciating employees as an avenue of boosting internal motivation.
• Collaborate with senior management team to continuously identify current and future manpower gaps and craft strategies to bridge them.
• Document and communicate the company culture and ensure that staff subscribe to it in the course of doing their work.
• Communicate the HR policy and ensure that all staff understand its dictates.
• Manage the leave plan for all staff.
• Periodically review and advise management on salaries and benefits for its staff.
• Periodically engage in internal climate and staff engagement surveys to determine employee perception of organization operations and the degree of staff engagement.
• Participate in strategy development process for the company.
• Map out a career development plan for each staff of the company.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly HR evaluation reports and make recommendations for improvements.
• Ensure management identifies the principal HR risks of the Company and implements appropriate systems and programs to manage these risks.
Skills and requirements
Successful applicants must have adequate skills and experience suitable for the tasks described above, including:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field
• Postgraduate diploma in human resource management
• Ten (10) years of experience in human resources with two (2) at management level
• Strong leadership abilities
• Strategic level thinking
• Should demonstrate strong Human Resource Skills
• Strong people skills
