The successful candidate will oversee all human resource activities including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, policy development, and compliance. This position is pivotal in aligning HR practices with business objectives, particularly during the setup, expansion, and restructuring phases of the dealership.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, develop hiring plans and role profiles, and coordinate onboarding across all departments.
- Create and implement HR policies aligned with Ugandan labor laws and group standards, ensuring clarity on procedures and expectations.
- Oversee monthly payroll, manage statutory compliance, and maintain accurate employee records and contracts.
- Drive performance appraisals linked to KPIs, support departmental goal setting, and lead reviews and corrective action planning.
- Address staff grievances, promote a positive work culture through engagement, and organize events, recognition, and training needs assessments.
- Identify skill gaps, coordinate training initiatives, and collaborate with Group HR for regional and brand-specific programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
