Responsibilities
• The position is responsible for ensuring company's information system is up to date and well maintained to efficiently support operations of the company.

Specific responsibilities:
• Implement IT systems to ensure reliable, secure, high performance and cost effective solutions.
• Technological operations; data management; day-to-day support that includes serving as the first line technical support of the AIMS core applications and liaising with vendors as a single point of contact and resolving staff issues.
• Maintain the availability, reliability and functionality of IT Systems through proactive monitoring of System Availability, Response times. Packet Loss, CPU Utilisation, Memory Utilisation, Disk Utilisation, UNIX and Windows Service Monitoring, Event Log Rules etc.
• Secure and carry out data back up on regular basis.
• Identify emerging technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced in the company.
• IT vendor and outsourcing management including contract or cost negotiation.
• Management of mobile and fixed line telecoms including branch-wide upgrades.
• Provide business and financial justification for system upgrades and enhancements
• Train staff on use of new and existing software
• Liaison with other departments
• Support other departments in all matters relating to ICT

Qualifications
• Graduate in IT from a recognized university
• Certified - oracle and network administrator

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience with insurance sector
