Job details:
Duties and Responsibilities:

• To oversee the development and implementation of an IT strategic plan.
  
• To ensure that all the institute software is licensed, keep record of licenses and undertake the renewal process in cases of expiry.
  
• To oversee network maintenance To interface all other departments and clients online
  
• To configure new workstations, laptops and other ICT related equipment.
  
• To Install, Maintain and troubleshoot laptops, printers and copiers as well as managing their toner requests.
  
• To set up and support visual and audio equipment for training and other presentations.
  
• To ensure the security of data from internal and external attack, providing users with support and advice.
  
• To recommend hardware and software acquisition, operating systems upgrades and information materials for the setup of a fully-fledged modern information centre
  
• To carry out full system backup, virus. checks, removal and antivirus update
  
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  
  Qualifications:
• A degree in information technology, Computer Science or any other related qualification with an IT certification from a recognized institution.
  Experience: ' Three years‘ experience in a similar field.

Skills and competences:

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different backgrounds.
  - Must be a person of high integrity
  
• Effective written, oral and presentation skills.
  
• Ability to identify key issues and problems from complex situations
  
• Willingness to work long hours and over the weekends.
  
• Must be a team player
