Job Purpose:
Responsible for leading and managing a team of installers. This leadership role involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and servicing of outdoor internet units, ensuring high-quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership and Supervision;
- Supervise a team of installers responsible for the outdoor installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of internet units.
- Provide guidance, training, and ongoing support to the installation team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their work effectively.
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and advice on how performance can be enhanced.
- Schedule and delegate installation and service jobs efficiently to ensure timely completion.
- Assist the installation team with troubleshooting complex installation or service issues in the field.
- Take a hands-on approach to resolve technical problems and ensure installations are completed successfully.
- Identify potential process improvements and implement solutions to enhance team productivity and service quality.
Quality compliance and control;
- Oversee the quality of installations to ensure all work meets company standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including working at heights, electrical safety, and safe equipment handling.
- Conduct site audits and inspections to ensure proper installation techniques, safety protocols, and equipment functionality.
Customer Interaction;
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated issues or customer concerns related to installations and services.
- Work closely with customers to ensure their needs are met and that installations are performed to their satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with the installation team, management, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
Performance Reporting;
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on team performance, project status, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor job completion timelines and ensure any delays or issues are promptly addressed
Stock Management;
- Manage and track inventory of installation materials, tools, and equipment to ensure adequate stock for job completion.
- Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and storage of tools and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or shortages to the Operations Manager and coordinate repairs or replacements.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum of a Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role in a telecom, Internet Service Providers.
- Strong background in installing and maintaining outdoor units, telecommunications equipment.
- Proven track record of leading a team and managing installation projects from start to finish.
