VisionFund Uganda Ltd (VFU) is a Christian Microfinance Institution (MFI) affiliated to VisionFund International and World Vision Uganda.VisionFund Uganda is part of a global microfinance network of World Vision working in 28 countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America under the auspices of Vision Fund International. Together, we serve close to Imillion clients while impacting over 3.5million children.

Internal Audit Officer
Reports to: Internal Audit Manager
Purpose of Position
To Work with the institution to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes;
To advise management on the adequacy of the systems, risk management and controls.


Minimum education, training and experience required for the position
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training
• University degree in accountancy or any other related field from an accredited institution
• Experience in microfinance is preferred
• Professional Qualification in a relevant field e.g. CISA, CIA, ACCA, CPAU and a member of a professional body
• Proficient in Sun Accounts, eMerge, TMS or other relevant accounting software

Job Experience: No Requirements

Work Hours: 8

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
