Job Purpose
To build strong research capability through analysis of market trends; to identify, review and execute investment opportunities. The job holder will be reporting to the Chief Investment Officer Britam Asset Managers, Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Assess potential investment opportunities
•  Generate ad hoc reports as necessary for presentations to internal and external stakeholders
• Portfolio construction and rebalancing in line with the set guidelines and regulations
• Review of investment Policy Statements
• Conduct desktop research on possible investment opportunities and give recommendations
•  Analyze due diligence outputs on potential investment opportunities in order to contribute to an investment decision/recommendation
• Liaise with research analysts to provide strategic advice, research and analysis to our clients
• Maintain a perspective on current and future market and economic conditions and industry investment trends in Uganda
• Ensure investments are compliant to local laid regulations

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics or related field
• 2-4 years of investment related experience
•  Professional certification in finance/Investments
• Knowledge and applied professional understanding of the principles and practices of investments
• Capital markets, and portfolio analysis
• Research capability, report writing and analytical skills
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements
