Background

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is the German Federal company for international cooperation and has been operating in Uganda since 1989 to promote sustainable development on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) commissioned GIZ in November 2016 to implement the global project “Responsible Land Policy” as part of the “Global Programme on Responsible Land Policy” of which the Responsible Land Policy in Uganda (RELAPU) project makes part.

The Responsible Land Policy in Uganda (RELAPU) aims to support the implementation of the Uganda National Land Policy, focusing on land governance as well as land rights in Uganda by advising and building capacities of governmental, civil society, and private sector stakeholders. The project is in its final phase and plans to finalize the revision of the Uganda National Land Policy (2013) and its approval process. This assignment involves consultation with stakeholders, consolidating the revisions, and ensuring the policy document is ready for approval.

Invitation to Bid

GIZ invites bidders for the RELAPU project. More details can be found in the Terms of Reference document and the tender dossier, which outlines the scope of work, methodology, and timelines.

Key Requirements

1. Eligibility and Participation Criteria:

   • Interested bidders must demonstrate experience in land policy development or similar assignments.
   • Only qualified institutions or individuals with prior experience will be considered.

2. Submission of Bids:

   • Bids must be submitted in English.
   • The tender documents must include the financial proposal, technical proposal, and required documentation.

3. Requesting Tender Documents:

4. Deadline for Submission:
