Marketing And Communication OfficerReports to: University Secretary (US)
Qualifications:• Msc in Marketing and Communication; preferably with specialization in Marketing

Responsibilities:• Designs and implements the marketing & communication strategy, related tools, plans and databases
• Produces evidence-based stories for resource mobilisation purposes
• Writes, edits and distributes content for information channels that promote the ARU education model
• Builds relationships with potential and existing partners through social media networks and promotional activities
• Develops capacity of students, staff and radio presenters in evidence-based storytelling and report writing
Key results• Write and verify all formal internal and external communications ensuring its content engaging and consistent with the organizational mission, values, polices and other aspects of branding.
• Design and mainstream the branding of the organization
• Edit the half year and annual reports
• Identify resource mobilization opportunities on an ongoing basis and support the application process
• Review and maintain ARU’s public profile on the website, newsletter, Facebook and blogs, amongst others
• Develop and update marketing materials like brochures, jingles, T-shirts, e-newsletters and banners
• Identify and use relevant outlets, journals and organizations to promote ARU’s work
• Keep records and develop content for concept notes and fundraising proposals
• Ensure all documents are filed properly and easily accessible
• Organize promotional events and partner meetings
• Identifying and tailoring messages for primary (funding partners) and secondary audiences (Facebook, website)
• Develop and maintain a marketing and communication manual
• Manage and account for the marketing and communication budget
• Participate in team meetings and learning events
Human Resource OfficerReports to: University Secretary (US)
Qualifications:• Proven experience as HR officer, administrator or other HR position
• Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
• Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus
• Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethics and reliability
• BSc/BA in business administration, social studies or relevant field; Post graduate studies in related fields.

Administrator In The Office Of Academic RegistrarAfrican Rural University, is looking for a reliable Office Administrator in the office of the academic registrar, who will undertake administrative tasks, ensuring the office of AR has adequate support to work efficiently.
Reporting to; Academic registrar
Key results• Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to ARU’s policies
• Manage agendas/travel arrangements/meetings in the office of the AR
• Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
• Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures
• Create and update records of students and databases with personnel, financial and other data
• Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
• Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned
• Assist colleagues whenever necessary
Requirements• BSc/BA in office administration, BSc/Education planning and Management, social studies or relevant field is preferred
• Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role for at least 3 years
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software (ERP etc.)
