Job Description
Place of work: Assigned site/Hospital Kitchen Scope and general purpose: To assist duty Assistant in keeping the Food preparation areas clean and neat and ready for preparation and presentation of food.

Competency matrix:
• A minimum of one-year experience in Healthcare Facility is preferred.
• Must have good English communication skills
• Liaises with: Chefs, production chef, Executive chef.

Main Duties:
• Responsible for keeping all areas in the kitchen in clean and orderly condition at all times by sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, wiping counters and equipment and organizing shelves in order to maintain a sanitary workstation and to meet mandated health compliance requirements.
• Responsible for cleaning and organizing dishes, taking stock of inventory,
• maintaining hygiene and quality in the kitchen, keeping a record of breakage and replacements.
• Responsible for the cleaning of kitchen equipment, remove and clean the external hood grease filters on a monthly basis.
• Responsible to clean the ducting of the hood quarterly.
• The collection and disposal of used oil and grease in appropriate containers shall meet the fire and safety regulations. Cleaning of loading dock and kitchen entrance areas, clearing litter and debris to trash bins in all areas of the kitchen including its surrounding premises
• To ensure all HSE rules & procedures are followed and hazards/near miss and accidents are reported. To raise HSE/Hazard awareness by actively participating in all HSE meetings.
• To follow NEWREST GULF HSE plan.
• To report and where possible to take action in relation to any accident, fire incident, loss or damage.
• To ensure proper grooming and hygiene. • To sort out stores maintain stores including meat, fish, vegetable freezers and dry stores in a neat and orderly manner.
• To sort out/dispose the garbage after each shift.
• Respect and follow up QHSE policies & must rules.
• Report any incident, accident & unsafe act to the management.
• Additional duties: Any other assignments given occasionally or on a daily basis by immediate superior or the client onsite management. Help can be requested from Plumber and other client staff.

Occasional duties:
• To pick up and assist in storage of store items.
• To help unload and stack implement such food-box and other material correctly in a safe manner
