Job title : laboratory manager

Overall job purpose

To manage , oversee and co-ordinate all laboratory operations within Mbale Clinical Research Institute so as to ensure that effective support is provided to internal /external research and clinical care teams. To ensure the continued and consistent delivery of quality, health and safety standards in line with GCLP accredited QMS.

Qualification

• A Degree in Biomedical Technology, Laboratory Science or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ experience working in a medical or research laboratory
• Experience in biomedical or clinical research, experiments, analysis etc
• Knowledge of GCLP, QMS and other relevant best practices and standards
• Experience in the use of laboratory management information systems is an advantage
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft applications
