JOB DETAILS:
Carewise Laboratory and Diagnostic center is a registered private human diagnostic facility that offers a wide range of Laboratory diagnostics, Ultra Sound scan and X-ray services. Being in an environment that offers multidisciplinary approach to healthcare challenges, the facility employs professionals from various backgrounds that suit specific departmental roles.
ln that regard, the facility seeks to recruit well qualified and competent personnel to fill the posts below;
1. Laboratory Technologist (01)
Reports to: Laboratory Supervisor/team leader.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Check the identification of sample and the match between request and specimens, prepare and sort samples to the different areas of the laboratory
• analyze the specimens, report & interpret results and communicate critical patient parameters to the laboratory supervisor.
• Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment functionality through routine equipment maintenance and advanced trouble shooting, using testing procedures and following protocols
• Perform daily cleaning of laboratory worktops and equipment I Request necessary reagents and supplies for laboratory work and keep record of stock
• Effectively communicate any challenges in the laboratory to the appropriate personnel [laboratory supervisor, Biomedical engineer and Facility manager
• Observe safety and quality assurance practices in the laboratory
• Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, internal & external CMEs, trainings

Qualifications & Work experience
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or its equivalent from a recognized University/institution
• Training/ Knowledge on Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS); ISO: 15189 is an added advantage
• Must be fully registered with Allied Health Professionals Council [AHPC] with a valid practicing license
• Ability to operate high profile automated laboratory equipment
• Computer knowledge & skills are a fundamental requirement
