Duty Station: Mbale
The Tax Appeals Tribunal is established by an Act of Parliament to resolve taxation disputes between taxpayers and Uganda Revenue Authority.
The tribunal invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Legal Assistant for its Mbale registry transferable to any other station as need may arise..
Responsibilities
• Day to day administration of the registry.
• Receive and process complaints/ applications from taxpayers.
• Undertaking process service in the region.
• Keep record of the Tribunal‘s proceedings.
• Performing regional registry functions.
• Any other duties as maybe assigned by the Registrar.
Requirements
• A diploma in law.
• At least 2 years’ experience in legal or court or tribunal work
• Should be computer literate.
• Basic working knowledge of tax laws and court procedures
• 25 -30 years old.
• The successful applicant should be ready to commence work immediately.
The position is tenable on a renewable contractual period of three years subject to successful completion of an initial probation period of six months.
