About ASF
Avocats Sans Frontieres (ASF) is a development aid non- governmental organization whose work focuses on giving access to justice and protecting the fundamental rights of the most marginalized people: women and children, people who are being illegally detained, human rights‘ advocates (lawyers, journalists, etc.), and victims of international crimes. Our teams work in Africa and Asia, mainly in fragile and/or post-conflict countries. The activities carried out in these countries mainly involve awareness-raising about people's rights, support of legal aid services, capacity building, strategic litigation, advocacy, and the implementation of a network of key stakeholders in the justice system. ASF has been active in Uganda since 2008.

Key responsibilities include:

The Logistics Assistant/Driver is tasked with managing the transport, the assets, the supply chain and the mail of the mission.

• Oversee the Vehicles’ Mechanical conditions and ' Servicing periods.
• Drive ASF staff within Kampala and the inner country for professional purpose.
• Assist ASF officers in the implementation of administrative and financial procedures.
• Maintain and update all ASF inventories.
•  Reports to the AFLO on the Status of Assets (i.e. needs for servicing, damaged and obsolete).
• Manage the complete procurement cycle for both micro and Macro procurements with a mind to achieve Value for money.
• Maintain Supplier's/Payables schedule.
• Manage the outgoing and incoming mail on the ASF Kampala Office.
• Maintain the record of all incoming mail at the Kampala office and dispatch among ASF staff.

Profile
Degree:

• Secondary diploma

Experience:

• 
  Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, including at least t year in a similar role preferably with an NGO
• Experience related to administration or logistics

Knowledge and skills:

• Driving license and ability to drive manual cars

IT:

• Intermediary level of computer literacy (Excel, Word)

Languages:

• English required, working knowledge of French is an advantage

Know-how:

• Good capacity and experience in documentation
• Excellent inter-personal skills and multi-tasking ability

Know-how-to be:

• Good understanding of humanitarian work Desire to take on new challenges
• Motivation to integrate a multi-cultural and international organization
