Uganda Road Fund (URF) is a body corporate established by the Uganda Road Fund Act 2008, to finance routine and periodic maintenance of public roads. The Fund seeks to fill a vacant position at its Secretariat in Kampala, and accordingly invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following position:
Job Title: Logistics Assistant
Salary Scale: RF 8
Department: Corporate Services
Reports to: Administrative Officer
Job Purpose: To provide secure and timely driving services to transport passengers and for goods..

 Key Responsibilities:
• Handling of the Uganda Road Fund vehicles operations for purposes of official URF work and be on call at all times;
• Responsibility for the cleanliness, maintenance and good mechanical condition of assigned URF vehicles;
• Effecting minor repairs to assigned URF vehicles;
• Checking the vehicle routinely and compiling the service reports;
• Entering the required data in the vehicle log book;
• Liaising with the respective heads of departments to request for fuel, utilizing the fuel, reporting on it and accounting for it;
• Run official errands including delivery of documents and letters as requested;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Experience:
• Must possess a minimum of the Uganda Certificate of Education or the equivalent with training in defensive driving. Must have experience in basic motor vehicle mechanics and knowledge of office management.
• Must have a valid driving permit with classes B, DL and at least five years continuous driving experience in a reputable organization.
The above position will be offered to the right candidate, under a contract of three years, renewable subject to performance.
